Turnip French Fries

mmmm i really love turnips.  Mom has always made them mashed, with a bit of butter, sugar and salt to get rid of the little bit of a bite that it has.  Well she found a recipe in a magazine (sadly i can't remember which to give credit) but it was made with Parsnips, Sweet Potato and Turnips instead of fries!

Peel the outside of your turnip.

Cut it into fry size pieces, place them into a large ziplock bag as you go.

Grab whatever spices you'd like and some olive oil.  I used:
1 tsp Olive oil
1 tsp Garlic Salt
1 tsp Onion Powder
1 tsp Paprika
1 Tsp Cajun spice mix

Zip closed, and shake your back of fries so that they are evenly coated.
Place on a baking sheet. I cover mine with parchment paper so that it's easier to clean up.

Oven: 425F
Time: 30 min

Don't they look tasty?
just a heads up, they don't go crispy crunchy like a frenchfry but they are just as tasty!
